Summary

A 'heatmapped' summary of max speeds per day, by hour slot. This page aggregates a lot of data, and was taking forever to load; so I took screen shots and these are the images. Result, fast loading!

Data collection started on 29-May-2024. The speed limit then was 40mph.

The Parish Council stated on social media on Monday 17th June (at approx 12:00): "Work has started to install the new speed restrictions today which means that the speed limit will be 30mph. The work is expected to take two days."

We will assume that the 30mph speed limit came in at the end of Friday of that week, and was therefore in place on Saturday 22nd June 2024.

Data collection finished on 30-Aug-2024 (three months approx). A total of 106,510 individual vehicle speeds were recorded.

Speeds are generally a little slower for vehicles travelling in a SE direction (the 'house' side of Station Road). This most likely because:

• when travelling SE the proximity to the houses feels more 'risky'
• there are often cars parked on the road outside the houses
